Bikini-Clad Woman Wanted In Lancaster, Lake Hughes Thefts

 Authorities are searching for a woman who was caught stealing from a home while clad in a bikini.

Surveillance video showed the woman, who wore a yellow bikini bottom and a green bikini top, entered a locked property in the 28000 block of West Avenue in Lancaster Saturday and “took items,” according to Shirley Miller of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Later that day, the same woman took valuable items from an unlocked residence home in the 47000 block of Three Points Road in Lake Hughes, Miller said.

The suspect was described as a white woman in her late 30s, about 5-foot-5 and 120 pounds. She was last seen driving away in a tan-colored sedan.

3 ARRESTED IN DUARTE HOME-INVASION ROBBERY; POLICE BELIEVE THERE COULD BE MORE VICTIMS

DUARTE, Calif.  - Three men are suspected of a violent home-invasion robbery in Duarte, which happened just two doors down from the mayor.

Authorities showed off the men's mugshots Wednesday during a press conference.

"This is personal for me. This occurrence happened two doors down from me. It could have just as easily been my house," Mayor Margaret Finlay said.

The crime happened in March. Investigators said the suspects used a high-end luxury SUV to help them blend into the upper middle class neighborhoods they were targeting.

While the three suspects are in custody, deputies believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward. Victims investigators are hoping more will speak out.

"In this case, or any other case, if we're not aware of the crime it's hard to be able to investigate and do anything with it," Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell said. "You give a free pass to someone if you don't report what they've done."

Authorities stress that residents need to be aware of anything suspicious, but admit they are investigating claims a 911 dispatcher ignored a caller about this very case.

While the department looks into that claim, they are also investigating a possible fourth suspect. In addition to the Duarte robberies, deputies said the suspects may also be connected to crimes across the county.

'Mass Hysteria' Causes Stampede at NYC Subway Station: NYPD

Dozens of commuters ran out of a crowded Manhattan subway station Tuesday morning after one straphanger thought they heard someone say they had a gun, according to the NYPD.

Straphangers stampeded out of the Central Park North – 110th Street subway station in Harlem at about 9 a.m. in what police are calling an incidence of mass hysteria.

Authorities said that the commotion spurred from a fight between two people on a 2 train. It’s not clear what led straphangers to believe that someone had a gun.

One commuter told The Grio’s Natasha Alford that he was walking into the station wearing headphones when he saw people running toward them. 

“All they said was just ‘run, run, run, run,'” the commuter said. “People getting stampeded, getting trampled, bags flying. It’s crazy right now.”

It's not clear if anyone was hurt in the commotion or if any arrests have been made. 

Man Beats Wife's Would-Be Rapist to Death

A New York man has been charged after authorities say he beat his wife's

would-be rapist to death with a tire iron.

Police initially recommended Mamadou Diallo be charged with manslaughter. But according to a charging document provided by the Bronx District Attorney's office, he was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
Diallo, 61, was released without bail, according to Patrice M. O'Shaughnessy in the Bronx DA's office. He left the Bronx criminal courthouse Tuesday evening to cheers from a crowd of supporters, .
A grand jury will convene to determine whether there is enough evidence to indict Diallo, O'Shaughnessy said.

Diallo returns to court June 27, according to the district attorney's office. He will be asked if he wants to testify before a grand jury.
Diallo told police he received a frantic phone call Monday night from his wife, saying a man was inside their Bronx apartment and was attempting to rape her.
Nenegale Diallo, 51, told investigators she was home with her cousin when she heard a knock on the door. When she opened it, a man forced his way inside, exposed himself and attempted to remove her clothing, she said.
The cousin came to her aide and attempted to help fight off the assault, according to a law enforcement source. The wife was able to break free of the suspect and used a cell phone to call her husband.
Mamadou Diallo raced home, took the elevator to the sixth floor and found Earl Nash, 43, in the hallway. Police say Diallo then attacked Nash and beat him severely.
When police arrived, Nash was unresponsive and had suffered severe trauma to his head and body. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to the NYPD.

Sources said that Nash left the apartment and got into the elevator as the woman's husband was coming to her aid. The woman pointed out Nash to her husband, and sources said the husband swung what appeared to be a tire iron at Nash. 
The pair then scuffled, sources said. Nash allegedly whipped the woman's husband with a belt, and the husband in turn bashed Nash in the head and body with the tire iron.

One of the blows appeared to fracture the left side of Nash's skull, and the man was pronounced dead on arrival to Lincoln Hospital.
The couple's son said he saw his mother and aunt being attacked.

The husband's family defended him Tuesday morning, claiming he was trying to protect his wife. 
"I think he tried to do the best to defend his wife," said Mamadou Diallo, the brother of the husband, also named Mamadou Diallo. "Right now, it's very sad. I never know him to harm anything."

He was released on his own recognizance, and prosecutors didn't put up much of an argument. Some strangers outside the court cheered when he walked out, saying they'd heard about the case and that he should not have been arrested. 
The district attorney's office said Wednesday the manslaughter charges were dropped because the medical examiner has not yet determined a cause of death for Nash. 

3 ARRESTED WITH MULTIPLE LOADED GUNS, KNIVES, BODY ARMOR AT HOLLAND TUNNEL ON WAY TO NYC

Three people were arrested with multiple loaded guns, knives and ballistic

vests at the Holland Tunnel Tuesday when police stopped them for driving with a cracked windshield, authorities tell NBC 4 New York.

John Cramsey, 50, and Dean Smith, 53, both of Zionsville, Pennsylvania, and Kimberly Arendt, 29, of Lehighton, were stopped on the New Jersey side of the tunnel around 8 a.m., authorities said.
A search of their vehicle -- a brightly colored Dodge utility vehicle with logo decals for Tonka, Monster energy drinks and another one that read "Higher Ground Tactical", apparently a gun range and shop in Emmaus, Pennsylvania -- revealed the weapons cache. 

The guns seized included long-range weapons as well as handguns. A camouflage helmet with what appeared to be night goggles was also recovered.

Two senior law enforcement officials say the three suspects are so-called "gun enthusiasts" and have no nexus to terror. There is no known threat.

Drugs were in the vehicle along with the guns, according to one law enforcement official. 
Cramsey wrote on Smith's Facebook page early Tuesday morning that he was driving to New York to "do an extraction" of a 16-year-old girl from a hotel room in Brooklyn after an issue involving drugs, The Associated Press reported. Smith replied, "I'm there." It was unclear what, if anything, the weapons had to do with their plans.
