Suspects use stolen identity to charge $7,000 at stores in Harris County

Authorities are searching for two identity-theft suspects who used a woman's personal information to charge more than $7,000 at at stores in Harris County.
A 23-year-old woman recently alerted authorities after she noticed credit accounts in her name had been opened fraudulently at Best Buy, Macy's and Home Depot, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said surveillance photographs show a man and woman who used the purloined information to spend several thousand dollars at a Best Buy, where they bought high-end electronics and computers.
Anyone with information on these suspects is urged to call the HCSO Financial Crime Unit at 713-274-9200 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects or charges being filed against them.
