2 dead, 1 wounded in Detroit shooting

Shooting happens in 20500 block of Schoenherr Road

Two men have been killed and a third wounded in a possible drug-related shooting inside a home on Detroit's northeast side.
Officer Phillip Cook says the shootings were reported about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Police responded and found two men dead inside the house. The third man was being treated at an area hospital.

The home is in the 20500 block of Schoenherr Road near Eight Mile Road. The front door of the home had been broken in.

"We received a phone call at about approximately 9 a.m. this morning on persons shot at the location. Officers arrived and they found three victims shot. Two of the victims are fatal," said Detroit police special operations inspector Eric Jones.

Sources told Local 4 the two that were killed had been shot execution-style.

"We don't have any suspects or we don't have the circumstances surrounding the incident this morning," Jones said.

The home sits just a block north of where Detroit Police Officer Brian Huff was shot and killed 18 months ago.

"This is the 9th Precinct, it's one of our more violent areas in the city," Jones said.
