Jose Cristino Sanchez-Rosa, of Falls Church, has died from injuries sustained in a Thanksgiving accident, according to the Washington Post.

There was no exact date of his death, according to the Washington Post.

Sanchez-Rosa is the second person to die from injuries after being hit in the parking lot of a Home Depot in Hyattsville, Md.

Six people were hit and Sanchez-Rosa and Fredys Castillo-Giron, 41, of Hyattsville are the only two to have died.

According to the Washington Post, the 79-year-old driver of the vehicle had an medical emergency and drove into the group of six.

Jose Cristino Sanchez-Rosa, of the 7300 block of Robert Lane in Falls Church, Va., died Friday, said Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a spokesman for Prince George’s County Police. Sanchez-Rosa is believed to be about 40 years old.

Sanchez-Rosa was one of six pedestrians who were struck by a man who lost control of his car at Home Depot in 3300 block of East West Highway Nov. 24.

Fredys Castillio-Giron, 41, of Hyattsville died on Thanksgiving. Four other men, including the driver of the car, were treated for injuries and released, according to police.

Preliminary investigation by Hyattsville police revealed that the driver, described as man in his 60s, had gone to Home Depot with a friend to go shopping but found that the store was closed, according to Sgt. Chris Purvis, Hyattsville police spokesman. As they left the parking lot, the driver apparently suffered some kind of medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle, striking the six men, Purvis said.

The accident is under investigation and no charges had been filed as of Saturday, Rodriguez said.
